When we started planning our own wedding, we expected the excitement from the venue searches, the celebrations, and dreaming about the day we would finally say "I do."

What we didn't expect was the uncertainty.

The Wedding Planning Challenge We Didn't Expect

As a queer couple, we found ourselves asking questions many couples never have to consider.

Would this vendor truly welcome us? Would we feel celebrated? Would we have to explain who we were before we could simply enjoy planning our wedding?

There was no easy way to know.

Finding talented wedding professionals was one thing but finding vendors who were genuinely inclusive and affirming was another.

The Challenge of Finding Inclusive Alberta Wedding Vendors

After more than 10 years as a Calgary wedding photographer, I had spent years witnessing incredible moments of love and connection within the wedding industry. I knew there were so many talented, kind, and inclusive wedding vendors but when Steph and I began planning our own wedding in a different city, we experienced what so many couples face of not knowing who we could trust before reaching out.

And that changed everything.

As I shared our experience, something amazing happened. Vendors like Todd from Vibe Event Rentals and Neesa from Neesa and Co. began reaching out, not only wanting to be part of this community, but asking how they could make their own businesses more welcoming and inclusive.

That is where the idea for For All Love began.
